I'm looking for a martial art with effective striking moves only, not dancing and other artistic stuff.
For those that go on the ground I'm going with bjj or sambo.

the one with the better instructor, the style is not as important. they all have there pro's and con's. the instructor and how you train is far more important then the style
I want to know if martial artists turn off their pain receptors. I mean on Human Weapon there are guys breaking bricks nad marble without even flinching. So how do they do it does it have to do with adrenaline?

ha these guys have been practicing for years decades more like
the typical karate chop that most people think of, that part of your hand is soft but tightens upon impact.
as people said it hurts more when you don't break it.
just think of breaking a stick over your knee
if it snaps immediatly your grand and can walk off with the stick in 2
but when it doesn't break you get that sting in your leg.
also they toughen their knuckles up (conditioning) so they get callouses (hard skin) on them similar to a guitar player has on his fingers.
so they can strike and they won't cut their knuckles which leads to less pain.
and also after repeated striking the mind just learns how to deal with that pain along with nerves being killed off.
wolfs law (i think) states that bones and muscle put under pressure for long periods of time will adapt and thicken.
eg astronaut in space they get jelly boned from no force acting on their bones.
I'm studying Historical European MAs and unfortunately I cannot find a book or site that talks about Prussian martial arts. Can anyone tell m info of Prussian MAs?

They dueled a lot. Look up info on Saber fighting. The Prussians were big into Sabers.
I´m very interested in the martial arts but have no experience with it.
I have a mesomorphic body type, and average height(5,5).
So what would you recommend?
Thank you. All answers were helpful(so I won't choose a best one) especially from the top contributors.
Thanks for your time.
