From where exactly did the Martial Arts come from? Who are the originators of these arts? Coming out with an ultimate solution for these questions Is not that much easy to be carried out because Martial Arts finds its roots almost in every part of the world. Martial Arts have been present long time since ages past. So a research has to be made to exactly locate the roots of the Martial Arts. At each and every instance of the research, the origin of the Martial Arts differs and hence it is very hard to know the true origin of the birth of Martial Arts. The history of the Martial Arts round the world is very complex. In those days, many tribes of people had to defend themselves from the external forces st some point of time to keep themselves safe and secure. To protect themselves from the enemies, they developed some fighting techniques each distinct from one another with the same purpose. As the time passed, these techniques are utilized to be implemented in the military developments. Though military has its relation with the development of Martial Arts, many of the fighting techniques are rendered technologically from the ancient styles of Martial Arts.
Many styles of Martial Arts have originated from many countries. The famous martial art style kung-fu has its origin in China. In Korea, the martial arts styles are Tae Kwan Do, Hapkido etc and in Japan we have Jui Jitsu, Karate and many other styles. There are also many other several styles of Martial Arts that originated in India, Thailand and all over the Asia as well as the Middle East, all through out Africa, all over the Europe and in the Americas. There isn’t a single continent that some form of Martial Art did not come into existence. The question regarding the birth place of the Martial Arts has been still an unsolved question to all. This is the question that a lot of people search out for the answers. But this question makes them travel in circles, reaching the same starting point of research even after much research.
It is believed that the earliest from of Martial Arts finds its roots in China more than 2500 years ago. Some philosophies propose that the system of Martial Arts were adapted into various forms in Japan and other eastern countries. Some propose a study that these other countries developed their own original systems and styles of Martial Arts. But there are no evidences found regarding their place of origin. Even there is a theory that states that India is the birth place and some theories do exist stating Africa as the originating place. Some even go far beyond stating that it is at the age of prehistoric cave men that Martial Arts have its origin.


Thinking logically, Martial Arts are not from a particular origin or from a particular place or for one nation or group. These are created out of the need. Martial Arts belong to the entire human race.
