Techniques

Though there are several types and styles of Martial Arts present round the globe, each style or type functions with the same goal-to successfully defend oneself in the physical level. Some Martial Arts are complex in design while some are pretty easy. Some are even part of a structure of spirituality and belief. The term “Martial arts” is derived after the Roman god of war-The Mars. Techniques are the elements that differentiate one Martial Art form from another from of Martial Art. There are various kinds of techniques that one can practice in the Martial Arts class. Techniques like Front Snap Kick, The Guard, The Half Guard, The Butterfly Guard, The spider Guard are some of the techniques. Each of these techniques mentioned can be grouped under two categories based on their styles. Front Snap Kick can be grouped under standing techniques. The Guard, The Half Guard, The Butterfly Guard, The spider Guard and The Bridging can be grouped under Ground Fighting Techniques.

Front Snap Kick:

Front Snap Kick is a three step process of getting into a fighting position or guard position, positioning the kick and extending to your target.

Forming a strong fist:

While getting prepared for combating, the primary thing to be remembered is to form a strong fist. Different people have different habits of forming a tight fist. Some slightly allow the fingers to overlap slightly or keep the hand loose. This can cause injury when the force is applied. The following five steps tell you how to from a tight fist.

The Guard:

The Guard is the basic position in ground fighting. The key aspect of the Guard is to learn to fight in a comfortable position defending from the guard.

The Half Guard:

The Half guard is the famous transitional position used in ground fighting. Previously, it was seen as a bad position to be in, commonly referring as half mount.

Butterfly Guard:

The Butterfly Guard is found is useful to use against someone who is much stronger than you are. When you seem you lack the general strength of the body, prefer to depend a little bit more on your leg.

The Spider Guard:

When you think at any point of situation that it is better to grapple, then spider guard position is found effective in such a case. It is very often used by grabbing the sleeves. The opponent is controlled using both the arms and feet.
