“Kung Fu” has become a general name that is used to represent the form of Martial Arts that come from China. Chinese Kung Fu is not just about the fighting. It goes far beyond in learning self discipline, self respect, humbleness and patience. Kung Fu incorporates meditation as parts of it, making this form of Martial Arts a unique style among others. The other quality of Kung Fu that makes it unique from others is the ability to master various weapons. Compared to other Martial Arts styles, Kung FU has large variety of weapons, movements, systems and traditions. In China, Martial Arts exist in two forms—soft and hard. Both the types of Martial Arts make use of weapons in their system. Some of the weapons include staff, kwan do, butterfly knives, broadsword and three section staff.

There are various styles and variations within the Kung Fu itself. Some of the variations are very popular which have their roots in the well known Shaolin Temple. According to the analysts, the estimation of the count of different styles of Kung Fu has crossed the 200 milestone. Just like the other forms of Martial Arts, Kung Fu is focused on teaching the balance that is prominent for proper movements and incorporating techniques. It doesn’t teach the students to subdue others but it teaches the students to have an inner look within them so as to learn to acquire a complete and total control over their emotions. It teaches the students to avoid confrontations and to remain in peace. Kung Fu focuses to teach harmony of the spirit, lessons of respect ad fairness to others. These characteristics when clubbed together help the students to achieve success in a difficult society.

Kung FU is a Martial Art that can be learnt by any one. There are no age restrictions nor are there any eligible criteria. Just like the other Martial Arts, t requires a strong desire to learn. But when used in a wrong way, it indeed is a deadly Martial Art. Kung Fu is a powerful Martial Art that is extremely disciplined with action meditation. Strength is built in low positions and powerful blocks. Some Kung Fu blocks are so coercive that implementing those powerful blocks could break the arms of the person punching at you. Kun FU has many systems like Wu Shu, Hung-war, Wing Chun and several others. There are variations of these styles as well, which include the famous animal style – Tiger, Snake, Crane, Tiger, Dragon and Eagle’s claws. These five animal styles are some of the most impressive forms in Martial Arts. Of the five animal styles so far, Tiger Claw is found to be the deadliest form that teaches the students to strike the opponent just like a dreaded tiger, so that he tears the flesh when the strike.

Top Kung Fu stars would have mastered different styles of Martial Arts as well. Jet Li is best known practitioner of Wu Shu which utilizes different styles that emphasize on fluid motion. Jackie Chan is a famous practitioner of Kung Fu.
